If you had a laptop with Windows Vista on it, somehow uninstalled Vista or ran XP straight on it, would it be possible to fully uninstall + remove Vista or will it mess up registries and/or functions like touchpad, etc.?
Where would be the best website to explain how to do this (I do not wish to find out how to dual-boot, plz)?
Are there certain features from Vista that computers w/ it need to function properly and efficiently or is it possible to just run XP?
Input is quite welcome [as is a free copy of an XP disc *just kidding!*] as are references so I know that people aren't pulling info our of their A$$E$! Thanks!Vista Machines %26amp; XP... Can XP Replace Vista Completely?
It should be fine to completely wipe Vista and replace it with XP. I have heard of plenty of people reverting to XP because they hate Vista. If nothing else, the computer should have a recovery disk to fix it.Vista Machines %26amp; XP... Can XP Replace Vista Completely?
I know this answer is no help at all- But I too am looking into replacing vista with windows XP dark edition (A free, unofficial version of XP with a few of vistas neater features, a friend of mine runs it). I'll let you know if i work it out XD
