Try Windows 7. You can get the Release Candidate now for free, and use it till the OS is actually released. The full release will be very similar.



Going from Vista to Win7 will not cause you any hardware problems, and Win7 is a lot less of a resource hog.
first find all the drivers for xp if your can%26gt; manufactures don't support down grading from vista to xp

most computers built for vista will have many problems with xp drivers

also most games that play on xp will work on vista %26gt;use the compatibly mode
