I have a Toshiba Satellite that has Vista. I've heard several times that I should get rid of the vista and get xp. how do i do that? Do i have to buy anything? thanks!Replace Vista with XP?
Unless you are having major problems with Vista, I would leave it alone. The rap on Vista is much worse than reality. I run it on several PCs and have had virtually no problems with it.
If you decide that you must load XP then you will have to purchase it to install it.
Added.
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with no Vista Problems.
This is the one I have and Vista works fine on it.

you should buy package of windows XP.
if you are planning to purchase windows xp you will need to buy windows xp os (operating system) disk which cost a little bit of money. if you are a business type person then i would recommend purchasing windows xp professional or if you are a normal type of computer user then i would recommend windows xp media center edition because it comes with the media players that you will need to play videos and music.
well microsoft doesnt support it,and it could cause problems, but if you do it you should have the restore cd's to put xp back on, and also all and any drivers for the hardware on your computer first!!!, before you do this. im a computer tech and done this several times. sometimes it has caused problems and sometimes things went good, just thought you might want to know this. g'luck
Don't change, keep the vista. why waste money.
