Which is better for vista: Norton 2007 or Trend Micro or others?

I have a new laptop with win vista on it and it came pre-installed with a trial version of Norton 2007. However, I've heard so many bad things about it that I haven't installed it for fear of it slowing my pc down a lot or hogging the resources.

I also have a copy of Trend Micro that I bought with another laptop I returned. I kept the software to put on this one, but don't know much about it, pros and cons, etc, so I haven't put it on there yet.

I know from experience I don't like Norton or McAfee, and I've used Antivir XP for years with no issues, but I don't know if there's anything out there like that for Vista. I'm hesitant to go with something I don't know much about.

I guess I'm trying to decide if I do install the trial version of Norton, how difficult will it be to delete %26amp; replace it with something else when the trial expires?

Also, are there anything like Lavasoft's AdAware and Spybot: S%26amp;D out there that are compatable with Vista?

Cheers guys!Which is better for vista: Norton 2007 or Trend Micro or others?

Avast Anti-virus works great with Vista and you're right Norton is a hog and worthless!
Trend-Micro

Review:

Works on Vista 64-bit. Any other companies doing that right now? Can't install the firewall without blue-screening Vista, but it is not necessary anyways. I have a very high-end computer, so system resources aren't a problem, but even so, it barely uses any. I have been with Trend for about 4 years now, with XP Pro, and now Vista 64-bit Ultimate (NO VIRUSES or MALWARE) I'm smart about the way I surf the web though... so that helps.
avast antivirus.. guaranteed for windows vista!
