Windows 7 paint erase or replace color?

Okay, Well Ive been using the XP and then the vista paint for years. So by no ive got down all the tricks. one of which Ive gotten very comfortable with using but cant seem to easily do on Windows 7 Paint.

One of the things you can do is by holding down the right mouse button and using the eraser, it only erases one color. Which comes in very handy when sketching in red than outling in black and erasing the red.

The other trick is to just replace the red with white by changing the background color and right clicking while drawing.

Well, Due to my idioticness, I didnt think to check my ability to do these things before working hard on a picture on paint than finding out the hard way.

Anybody know how to do those tricks on Windows 7 paint? I could really use the help.Windows 7 paint erase or replace color?
Try GIMP. It's free and can do so much more than just getting rid of one color!
