Can I come back to windows XP from Vista?

At present Im using genuine XP media edition and planning to replace it with Vista Ultimate .

Is it possible to have both operating system at same time ? if yes then please tell me how and if not would it be possible to come back to XP without losing any personal data/programmes etc.Can I come back to windows XP from Vista?
You can create a dual boot system if your willing to invest the time.

Most Operating systems are installed on a single partition (c:) but by using some nifty software like Partition Magic, you can divide up a large HDD into two or even more segements with a drive label (E: or D: etc)

You could also just buy another HDD and install it as a secondary partition - (this will cost money and take longer most likely)

Once you have two seperate partitions, you should then insert your OS cd to install your new Operating System. You will asked which partition you would like to install your OS too (chose the new one) and Voilla - a dual boot system that can use the same stored media on your original OS etc.

Also, Vista offers to save your old XP OS components and makes them accesible to you while using VistaCan I come back to windows XP from Vista?
yes
You can have a dual boot system with both XP and Vista.
yes you can do that...but you cant have both windows vista and win xp....you can always go back to xp but need to call microsoft first to assist with that....then call your isp...ok?
You can, but I would suggest it, as vista is very demanding and takes up a lot of space, so unless you have a ton and I mean a ton of memory, I would just stick with one operating system.
First you must completely remove Vista via formating your hard drive. Then you can reinstall XP
Yes it is possible to have both Vista and XP. You will need to have an empty partiton to install Vista in dual boot mode. The Vista boot loader will add an entry for XP, and you can choose from there which one you want to boot into. As for the second question, you cannot come back to XP without doing a complete XP install, so you will lose all your data, unless you use a product like ghost, or acronis to make an image of your system before you start messing with the Vista install.
im on vista mate stick with xp you find loads of things you have for you computer wont work and cant get the drivers for them i cant use my web cam it took me ages to fined a driver for my sound card even my phone software wont work its crap m8
If it isn't broken don't fix it. Untill microsoft works many of the bugs (e.g. driver support) out of vista don't upgrade. It took MS many years to get XP where it is at today so you can expect the same with vista. To answer your question though...yes you can run vista and xp on the same system. First you will want to backup any important data, then your best bet is to repartition your hard drive....one for xp....one for vista. You then will need to load vista first then xp. This is a time consuming process so be prepared to take a saturday off to complete this process. Good luck.
