How do i replace preinstalled windows vista with windows xp?

I bought an Acer 5810TZ, and it came preinstalled with Vista. However, I want to get rid of that garbage and replace it with XP. However, when I try and boot from my XP disc, i get a BSOD every time when its in the system setup. I tried to download the XP chipset from the Acer website, but the instructions weren't particularly user friendly. Any ideas what the problem is?How do i replace preinstalled windows vista with windows xp?
restart pc and click on f12 several times until you get to boot options menu choose cd rom and if you are ask to boot from cd press enter .

before you start formatting and installing xp , download xp drivers for your pc .
