Downgrading from Vista to XP?

Say I want to buy a Dell XPS M1530 with these specifications:

-intel core 2 duo t8300 (2.4 GHz)

-4 GB shared dual channel ddr2 sdram

-160 GB hard drive

-256 Mb Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT

How would I go on to downgrading to an XP? Can XP support this? If I can, how can I replace Vista with XP?

Much help appreciated.Downgrading from Vista to XP?
Why would you want XP?

For over 2GB (which you have)

Vista performs better.Downgrading from Vista to XP?
the 8600M GT I don't think so...unless dell finally got drivers for that (NVIDIA doesn't)

XP (32-bit) can only supported ~3.5GB ram due to their architecture...

I would suggest installing free Ubuntu LInux 64-bit instead (it's a lot newer and they're even coming out with a new OS upgrade in 2 weeks)
the first thing you should do is make sure they have xp drivers for the system by going to the manufacturers website and looking . if not take the pc back to whaere you got it and give it back
If you want XP, you should find a PC on Dell's site that gives you the option of XP. Look for a link that says customize. You might have to choose a business model.
First you have to collect all important drivers for xp from the manufactures website. Then go to the website www.removevista.com and follow the instuctions.....wish u good luck.......
