Get a windows XP instalation CD (I suggest the Home edition since Pro costs more and doesn't really offer much more) and install it. After the CD scans for defects you should be asked where you want to install the OS and given the oportunity to format. Of course before installing make sure you backup all your data into another HDD (be it externall or internall as long as it is a seperate physical drive).



So when prompted format the disk and continue with the installation
