haha as much as i agree with what youre doing, windows just wont let you downgrade. my solution? buy a mac. if not that, then i'd suggest saving all of your good files like music/pics and documents on some dvd's or w/e and wiping the drive. assuming that you have a full installation disk. if you only have an xp upgrade disk, then i would suggest getting a full installation, or at least find one on a torrent. ssshhh about that last part haha.How to replace the windows vista on my laptop with windows xp?

You should wait until Windows 7 comes out this summer and upgrade to it. If you can find a new boxed Windows Xp or XP pro operating system then install the new OS it will write over the old Vista one and all files.
If you do a install from a previous installed OS to be legal you would have to purchase a new key code and still find the correct drivers and download them. Microsoft used to offer a down grade to Windows XP go to their website and check: http://www.microsoft.com
